Life expectancy at birth
Life expectancy at birth describes a hypothetical newborn under the age and sex specific mortality rates of the selected year. It is a population measure, not an estimate of years remaining for an individual.
Sources and period
World Bank World Development Indicators (WDI) combines UN Population Division, national statistical offices and Eurostat data. The dataset uses a common 2024 reference year; figures may include estimates and projections. The reference year differs from the source publication date.
How to read the result
The measure does not account for your health, lifestyle or individual circumstances. War, migration and incomplete registration can affect estimates. Exceeding an average does not mean time has run out. Regional and overall values come directly from the provider.
Calendar calculation
Days lived are calculated between your birth date and today in the Europe/Kyiv time zone. Complete weeks are days lived divided by seven. Calendar age accounts for calendar months and leap years.
